Like to volunteer at the DDLS?

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Disability Discrimination Legal Service has suspended its volunteer program.  This will be reviewed in January 2021.

Volunteers are welcome at the DDLS and volunteers with disabilities are strongly urged to apply.

Information about priority amongst applicants and the induction process are discussed in the document Becoming a volunteer .

  • There are no educational or professional requirements for volunteers (such as law degrees or practising certificates, unless they wish to provide legal services). Our priorities are, in order:
  • Third and fourth year law students;
  • Law students in general;
  • People who have an interest in our work and some experience in the disability community.

To be eligible for consideration as a volunteer, you must submit an application form by post or e-mail.
